Shocks in North American World Cup qualifying

The final round of World Cup qualifying in North America got underway on Wednesday, with shocks for the United States and Mexico.

Olympic champions Mexico were held 0-0 by Jamaica in the Azteca Stadium, to make an underwhelming start.

Honduras enjoyed a superb 2-1 win over the United States, and in the other tie Costa Rica drew 2-2 with Panama.
