Turkish giants face UEFA over match fixing charge

Fenerbahce and Besiktas will have to face UEFA’s Control and Disciplinary Body this week surrounding allegations they fixed matches two years ago.

The two clubs were involved in the match fixing scandal which shocked Turkey and led to recriminations in the game.

Fenerbahce were expelled from the Champions League from their part in the affair, with UEFA refusing to allow them to participate.
