VVV Venlo striker keen to complete Stoke move

VVV Venlo striker Michael Uchebo is hoping he will soon obtain a work permit in order to complete a move to Stoke City.

Uchebo is set to join Stoke in a cut-price fee in the region of £1million.

“My game and my physique are set for English football,” said Uchebo. “Tony Pulis loves strong athletes but quality ones as well.

“Guys like Peter Crouch, [Ricardo] Fuller have decent technique, hopefully the deal can go through and I will get my work permit and play my football on the bigger stage.

“VVV Venlo is a good starting point in the Eredivisie but the Premier League is a top league and a dream league for anyone who plays football.”
