Wenger hails Arsenal recovery

Arsene Wenger hailed his Arsenal team’s recovery after they completed a remarkable comeback against Reading in the Carling Cup.

Arsenal were 4-0 down with moments to go until half time, but went on to rescue a draw to take the game to extra time, where the match finished 7-5 to the Gunners.

“We went from disaster to getting some pride because we came back in the second half with a decent performance.

“It was not one of our priorities but had we gone out the way we could have gone out on the basis of the first half, that would not have been one of my proudest moments at the club so I’m very happy that we came back.”
