West Ham confirms interest in Liverpool striker

West Ham co-owner David Gold has confirmed that his side is monitoring Liverpool striker Andy Carroll’s situation.

Gold admits that the Hammers would be interested in Carroll if the striker became available.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers admitted on Tuesday that the striker could be allowed out on loan.

“I am not aware of any talks between ourselves or Liverpool over Andy Carroll,” said Gold.

“But that’s not to say we don’t have an interest should he become available.”
