Yanga-Mbiwa frustrated at lack of football

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is already frustrated by the lack of playing time he has been given at Newcastle United, according to one of his representatives.

The defender joined from Montpellier in January but has not commanded a first team spot as yet.

“He’s working like crazy”, Yanga Mbiwa’s representative told L’Equipe. “He expected to be in the team. He left [Montpellier] to develop.

“Mapou is not one to complain, to panic. But if he does not play more, he may no longer be one of the four central defenders regularly called up by Didier Deschamps [France coach, ed.].”
