Zeman won’t quit despite Cagliari loss

Zdenek Zeman is refusing to quit his position as Roma coach despite a damaging 4-2 home defeat to Cagliari on Friday.

Roma were hoping to end a run of four games without a win, but the club, top scorers in Serie A, slumped to another damaging defeat with Zeman seemingly set to be fired now.

“We have had some good games this season, even though this was not one of them”, Zeman told Sky Italia.

“But I will not resign after a bad game. I haven’t spoken with the board. They are the ones who make the final decision.”
