The Uruguayan appears to have taken on the role of the foreigner English football loves to hate, an unofficial position meted out to skilful foreigners for English fans to take their anger out on.
“I think where they [the FA] have to be more supportive is the reaction from people – and the antagonism of the crowds – towards Luis,” said Dalglish. “That is the great problem.”
