The 19-year-old has been linked with a number of rival clubs after having impressed for St Mirren this season.
“The only thing that can stop Kenny McLean from going all the way to the top is Kenny himself,” commented Lennon.
“It’s been a pleasure to watch his development since I came to the club and David Longwell, the head of youth, has to take a lot of credit for that.
“The good pros here have also helped encourage Kenny’s development. I’d say he is one of the top midfielders in the SPL at this moment.
“I’d be disappointed if there wasn’t anybody coming to look at my players. When they start to do that, you know there are good things happening at your club.
“Our players have played consistently well so it wouldn’t surprise me if there was interest in them. Whether we sell them is another matter though.”
