The Cameroon international had been linked to Manchester United, Arsenal and Lyon.
He told the club website: “Lille fans will see my mug again next season. I am proud to be here because a number of clubs targeted me but I didn’t feel that they showed enough confidence.
“Next year I will defend the Lille shirt.”
