The Napoli president has revealed that the 24-year-old midfielder will sign a new contract on Monday.
“If Hamsik wakes up and proves his worth [against Juventus], because he has been a bit off in the last few weeks, it would be a splendid introduction to the appointment we have on Monday regarding a contract extension,” De Laurentiis told Corriere dello Sport.
Hamsik has been a key player for Napoli since joining the club from Brescia in 2007.
The Slovakia international midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in recent months.
