The under-fire Spurs boss is struggling to save his job at White Hart Lane as the club is struggling at the bottom of the Premiership.
Gross said: “I can imagine how Ramos is feeling. Living and working in that sort of environment is not easy. I think he must feel very isolated.”
Gross is currently boss of Basel in Switzerland.
He added: “Spurs are not doing so well but they have a fantastic manager.
“Everybody at Spurs has to back him. They must help him win games.”
