The midfielder is in the final year of his contract with Wolves, despite being offered a new contract in March.
“David has been great for us, he’s technically so good and came up with a brilliant free-kick for our first goal against Stoke,” Hahnemann told the Express and Star.
“Obviously we want him to stay as he’s a great creative player for us and we’ll need all of those qualities this season.”
