Swindon goalkeeper Phil Smith has signed a contract extension with the Robins.
The new deal will keep the 29-year-old at Swindon until the summer of 2012.
The keeper told Swindon’s official website: “I had to think about it for a while because obviously I haven’t played a lot, but I won’t have a better chance of playing in the Championship than I will here.”
He added: “The club has progressed massively in the last couple of years and I want to be a part of it.
“Swindon have shown their faith in me and they’ve made me feel wanted which was the big thing and made it easy for me in the end.”
