Hull have made a poor start to the Premier League season and looks set to face a struggle to avoid the drop.
“My ambitions are still to bring European football here,” he said in the Daily Star.
“People might say that at this time we’re a million miles away but I don’t think we are.
“We’re in the Premier League now and if we stay there for another year, who knows how far away those ambitions might be.”
