Huntelaar is looking to keep his hopes of making the Dutch squad for the World Cup finals in South Africa next summer alive.
“I am thinking about leaving,” he confessed to De Telegraaf.
“When I have spoken to the club directors, they have reassured me and told me they have faith in me.
“I have played a few minutes, but I want more. It’s important for me because our national team manager has repeatedly explained that we must play regularly at club level in order to make his squad.
“That’s not happening to me. Still, I would like to stay in an important league to prove I am Milan material. I’d like to go out on loan and then come back here.”
