Subotic was targeted by Manchester City in January, but the Premier League side failed with a last-ditch bid for the Serbian star.
Subotic’s contract with Borussia Dortmund is set to expire in 2014.
Subotic’s agent Stephen Kelly said: “There was no chance of Neven leaving Dortmund in January.
“As we know, anything can happen in football and the summer is a different story, but it will take a hell of a lot of money to get Dortmund to sell Neven.”
