Japan were due to play alongside Argentina, Colombia and Bolivia in July, but were forced to cancel all J League games for March.
The Japanese FA expect the games to be rescheduled for July, meaning the country’s place in the tournament may have to go someone else, possibly Honduras, El Salvador or the US.
