Farfan’s agent is in talks with Schalke over a new deal as the Peruvian is happy with the club’s appointment of Ralf Rangnick as coach.
Farfan’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2012.
“Jefferson is very pleased with the new coach Rangnick and is looking forward to the quarter-finals of the Champions League,” the agent told Sport1.de.
“We have already met with the leadership of the club to discuss details of a possible extension to the current agreement.”
