French website mediapart revealed that senior officials in the French Football Federation had planned a quota which would limit to 30% the number of players in academies who could come from North African or sub-African backgrounds.
“I am outraged by the confusion that is being spread today,” Duchaussoy said.
“It’s a surprising, unfair and scandalous hotchpotch.
“As we manage quite well with the France team, people are perhaps also trying to destabilise it.”
