The 35-year-old’s current contract with AC Milan is set to expire at the end of the season.
“Botafogo points towards the player’s will to come live in Rio de Janeiro. He is married to a Brazilian and he has a house in Rio,” Assumpcao told Tv Globo.
“Plus we have a marketing plan which could suit our needs and the player’s.”
Reports claim Assumpcao is set to hold talks with Seedorf on Tuesday.
