The risk of nuclear contamination has not yet passed in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami which hit the country earlier this year.
FIFA President Sepp Blatter said: “We are confident Japan can organise this competition.
“We look forward with confidence and optimism that this tournament will be a good one.”
