Rangers keen to sign St Johnstone striker

Sandaza’s contract expires at the end of the season and Lomas claims Rangers are keen to sign the striker on a pre-contract agreement.

“Rangers want him to sign a pre-contract,” Lomas told the Sunday Mail.

“If they want to get him now then they have to speak to me and make an offer.

“Hopefully Fran will be lining up against Rangers next week, not playing for them.”

“It’s my understanding Rangers have spoken to Fran but there’s no agreement at present,” said St Johnstone chairman Steve Brown.

“We have parties interested in Scotland and England yet there have been no concrete offers.

“We have offered Fran probably the best deal of any Saints player in recent times but can’t compete with offers of £5000 a week or more.”
