The Sweden Under-21 international will undergo a medical at Rangers on Friday ahead of his proposed move to Ibrox.
Celik’s agent has revealed the midfielder has agreed a three-year contract with Rangers.
His agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, had told stv.tv earlier on Thursday: “We have agreed a deal in principle with Rangers and we have agreed all conditions. It is a three-and-a-half-year contract.
“We have had a lot of offers for Mervan, 12-13 concrete offers from clubs from big leagues.
“But when Mervan and I went to Glasgow one month ago, we got a very good impression from Rangers and (manager) Ally McCoist. McCoist was the key reason to this transfer.”
