A report published yesterday revealed how Havelange and son in law Ricardo Teixeira, the former Brazilian football chief, had accepted significant bribes from FIFA’s former marketing partner, ISL.
Havelange, who quit his position on the International Olympic Committee last year over the affair, has now renounced his honorary presidency of FIFA.
