“Nicolas is a very important player for us. It is not that easy to find a player who is so good with so much quality and so much pace,” said Alonso.
“I’m very pleased he has stayed. If we are working hard in defence and in midfield we need a good striker and he is one of the best.
“We would have been disappointed had he gone to another team and we need him for all the season.”
