The AC Milan star feels it is time for him to quit the international scene.
“At (almost) 33 years old, for the role I have in football, it’s right to give my spot to people with more energy,” said Gattuso.
When asked if that meant retirement from international football, he added: “Yes”.
“After that my dream is to go to the World Cup as Italy coach,” added Gattuso.
