Bin Hammam’s hopes of winning the election appear remote with confederations lining up to support Blatter, and he criticised FIFA funding of Interpol.
He said: “Imagine FIFA financing Interpol’s activities!”
“[The decision] was taken arbitrarily by the FIFA President and was not discussed with the Executive Committee.”
