Blokhin managed the country in the World Cup in 2006, and now returns to the post after winning the support of Ukraine’s Executive Committee, meaning he will manage the team during the Euro 2012 tournament they co-host with Poland.
He said: “The head coach is always responsible for the result. I have a double responsibility taking into account the fact Ukraine co-host the Euro-2012 finals. We have to qualify from the group,”
