Borriello hoping for May return

Borriello has been out of action with a thigh problem, his last of several injury problems that has kept him out of action for AC Milan this season.

“I am near the end of the recovery process.” Borriello said on Sportmediaset.

“I am expecting to return to action in May and to play in the final few rounds of the season.

“At the moment I am not feeling any pain and in a week or so I will be able to run properly again.

“I am beginning to see the light. I train six hours per day to ensure that I recover in the best possible manner and to try and make it back before the end of the season.

“It would be a source of great satisfaction for me after being out of the game for such a long time.

“Watching my teammates from the stands has been very difficult and my biggest regret has been not being able to benefit from David Beckham’s crosses.

“However, I am thankful that my injury has been treated and I am very happy that my Coach and teammates haven’t forgotten me. I’ll be back stronger than ever.”
