Capello took charge of England in January 2008 but after an initial success, he failed to impress with the Three Lions at the World Cup in South Africa this summer.
“Absolutely. Yes,” he said when asked whether he would quit his job after Euro 2012.
“We have to qualify first of course but after that I will be too old.
“I want to enjoy my life as a pensioner.”
