“The secret is we stayed 10 days together,” Capello told Setanta Sports. “I said yesterday, step-by-step, we’ll be better.
“Today, we played with lots of confidence and without fear from the first minute and we played very, very good football.
“The players played very well and [made] a little mistake only when they scored a goal. But we played very well and like a team with a lot of courage.
“Usually, when England play away, it’s not with courage. This team, we played technically well, but with confidence and courage and it’s very, very important.”
“I think Theo is young and I’m very happy for Theo but I have to choose one of two and I chose him this time,” he added.
“I’m happy also for Beckham. Why not? [play the LA Galaxy midfielder again]. When I choose the squad, I choose always the best players for the moment.
“But Theo is one of the most important young players in England and I hope he does not get injured because he’s so fast and dangerous.
