Del Bosque guided Spain to the World Cup finals in South Africa with a 3-0 win over Estonia.
The new deal will keep Del Bosque in charge of Spain until 2012.
Del Bosque said: “We have fulfilled our first objective, to be present in South Africa.
“Now it is necessary to work hard and be in the best condition for the competition.”
