Donadoni joined the NY/NJ MetroStars in 1996 when he was 33-years-old.
Beckham have signed a £128million, five-year contract with LA Galaxy.
Donadoni told Sunday Mirror Sport: “Is David too young? At 32, I think so. He has many, many chances to play again in Europe and to win many, many things. But it’s business I suppose.
“First of all it is a big business for David Beckham and for MLS, but the MLS has many problems.
“The clubs are not private and it is very hard for a club to buy one player they want or another big one – it’s not good. I think for Beckham, it’s very bad.”
