Dunga has quit his job as Brazil coach following their shock quarter-final exit from the World Cup.
Brazil is set to host the 2014 World Cup and Leonardo is among the top candidates to take over the job as coach for the national team.
Luiz Felipe Scolari, who won the World Cup in 2002, has also been linked with the job.
