Former England boss Eriksson to be named new Dynamo Kiev manager

Super agent Pini Zahavi, helped securing the deal and a source close to him told the Daily Mirror: “Sven signed a contract with Kiev’s owner Ihor Surkis about 10 days ago and he will take over on May 14.

“He is excited to be going out to Kiev as it will give him a chance to prove he’s a top manager again.

“Kiev might not be the first city he would chose to live in, but Dynamo play in the Champions League year in year out and that will give him the chance to take on Europe’s top sides.

“During his meetings with top brass from the club he felt they had big ambitions and that was part of the attraction. Surkis is one of the richest men in Ukraine and he’s pledged to back Sven in the transfer market.

“He is guaranteed to make a massive war chest available so he can bring in top players and make the club a European force.”

Eriksson’s representative Athole Still said: “There was contact from Dynamo Kiev, but it came to nothing.”
