The 51-year-old has signed a two-year contract with Bordeaux and will be joined at the club by assistants Rene Lobello and Alain Benedet.
A statement on the club’s official website read: “Bordeaux is pleased to announce the signing of Francis Gillot.
“The former Sochaux coach has committed to two seasons at the club.”
