Reports have suggested that talks over a new deal for the Iceland international is stalling.
Gunnarsson’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season and has been offered a new deal by Coventry.
The player said: “I want to be a part of Coventry because it’s so different now to the last couple of years. I’m enjoying it again and it has a lot to do with the gaffer.
“I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen, I’ve left it with my agent and the club. Of course I want to sort something out.”
