Hreidarsson’s agent Olafur Gardarsson says a move to Rangers would appeal to the former Charlton ace, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
“I know Hermann is one of the options Rangers have looked at,” Gardarsson told The Scottish Sun.
“He is out of contract in the summer and already a couple of clubs have said they want to get him on board.
“I’m not sure what will happen in terms of Hermann’s future. Only time will tell.
“But Hermann likes the idea of playing in Scotland and he would do a good job there.
“He has played his club football in England for a long time and this would be something new.
“People will talk about his age but his physical condition is fantastic. He can play for another three or four years.”
