News of the World revealed that Inter coach Roberto Mancini faces the sack, after a disappointing start to the season.
A source close to the Inter owner told News of the World: “Mr Moratti would love to have Jose Mourinho in as the manager of the club if Mancini goes.
“He is absolutely the first choice to become the new manager. Mr Moratti has already spoken with Jorge Mendes about this.”
