The 34-year-old will replace Yasen Petrov, who was axed after failing to win any silverware this season.
“I can confirm that our new coach is Georgi Ivanov and he’ll also remain Levski’s sporting director,” Batkov is quoted as saying by Reuters.
“Levski should be champions every season,” said Ivanov. “If we don’t win the title next season, I’ll quit, that’s for sure.”
