Matip signed a new contract with the club just six months ago.
“Do I have a status at the club? We do not need to beat around the bush, I am looking for a new club at the moment,” he told Kicker.
“Because I have to move on already this winter if there is no change to my current situation.
“I need to play regularly to keep my match fitness in good order.”
