Mensing is keen to stay and help Hamilton get back into the Scottish Premier League.
Hamilton’s three-year spell in the SPL ended after their 1-0 defeat at St Johnstone on Tuesday.
He said: “I’ve a year left on my contract so I’ll be at Hamilton next season.
“I have been in the First Division before and it is a hard league to get out of, make no mistake about that.
“But we have won it before and the challenge is to do it again. There’s no reason why we can’t.
“It won’t be easy but we’ve some good players under contract so we’ll be giving it our best shot to bounce back.”
