Milevskiy proud of new role

Dynamo will take on Russian champions Rubin Kazan in the Champions League on Wednesday.

“Of course, my new role makes me feel some new emotions, but I have played so many games at the highest level that I can rein in my nerves,” Milevskiy said to UEFA’s official website.

“Moreover, I hope the fans will help me. I would like to ask them to support us as much as they can. We will do our best to thank them for that by winning the game.

“We must stick to tradition and win. Rubin are very strong, especially away from home. But our fans are demanding victory from us, so only three points will do.

“Don’t forget that Rubin have a formidable striker duo though with Aleksandr Bukharov and Alejandro Dominguez. Their understanding on the pitch is perfect.”
