Keegan said: “I am sure Michael Owen will be in the England squad.
“He’s fit enough, definitely, sharp enough and maybe going to England will give him opportunities.
“You don’t need to tell me if he gets opportunities he will score. Michael’s always done that.”
He added: “Michael will be at my door saying ‘We are not creating anything’.
“That’s what I would do if I was him — because we aren’t. You can’t ask players to make bad balls into good balls.”
