McParland told the Nottingham Evening Post: “It really baffles me, some of these people who make these stories up.
“I don’t know where they come from. I have a chuckle at times.
“I have got players in my mind who I want to bring in and we will keep pursuing them.
“I don’t just want to bring any players in. They have to be right to fit into my dressing room because we have got a great bunch of boys with a good team spirit.
“It will not just be down to the player’s ability, it will be down to what he is like as a lad. I don’t want any big-time Charlies.
“I want players who can come in and fit in with the boys we have already got, who want to go out and play for each other. Team spirit is so important.”
