Platini claims the plan could ruin England’s 2018 World Cup bid.
He said: “I have a problem with the 39th game. I think it’s stupid. I can’t react if the Premier League press ahead. But FIFA can and the Confederation that will receive the game can react.”
Platini also insists that a Great Britain football team at the 2012 Olympics in London is not a good idea.
He said: “There can’t be a GB team. Great Britain doesn’t exist in football.”
