“We created several good chances before the interval. We would have led 2 or 3-0 at half-time if our finishing was less sloppy,” Rutten was quoted as saying in the post-match press conference.
“Jonathan Reis missed some big chances after the break but he also managed to score once. We knew that we would pick up the full three points after his goal.
“Everybody expected us to win here and that’s exactly what we did. I might not have been impressive but there’s little doubt about it that we fully deserved the full three points here.”
