Rangers boss understands postponements

The SPL decided on Wednesday to postpone the top-flight fixtures for this weekend, due to the severe weather conditions in Scotland.

“I’d have been happy playing at Tannadice last weekend and happy if our game against Hearts had also been given the go ahead,” said the Rangers boss.

“We don’t want to end up falling behind with our fixtures again, as we did a couple of years ago.

“However, I’m not critical in any way of the decision that has been taken. The sensible decision has been taken with the bigger picture in mind.

“The police are advising people only to make journeys when it’s absolutely necessary so it’s not advisable to ask 50,000 fans to come to Ibrox for a football match.”
