The 22-year-old sustained a broken leg in Rangers’ Under-20 clash with Partick Thistle.
Hutton had only recently returned to action after suffering ankle ligament damage in pre-season.
The midfielder confirmed the injury via his Twitter account.
Hutton wrote: “Got the results back and I have broken my leg, got no luck at the minute gutted is an understatement! Just need to try and look forward!”
